Bi-Annual Community Meeting will be 5/9/2016 at 7:00 pm at the clubhouse.

The Coulwood Hills Bi-Annual Community meeting will be hosted this upcoming Monday, May 9, 2016 at the Coulwood Community Clubhouse beginning at 7pm. The agenda will include the 2016/2017 budget, the 2016 pool opening, 2016 planned activities, capital improvements, as well as time for community members to speak. We have also invited our community resource officers and code enforcement to come and address the group.

**Everyone who attends the Bi-Annual Meeting will be entered into a raffle for four (4) passes to Discovery Place Kids in Huntersville.**

There are a few things that we are asking of the community at this time and want all that choose to attend to be prepared for.

  • Seeking nominations for new board members - If you are interested in serving on the board please come prepared to give a brief introduction of yourself to the community and board.
  • Nominations for the Lifter Award - Every year the Coulwood Community Council recognizes an individual in the community for their contribution to the health, safety, well-being, engagement, and/or general benefit of the community. We will be asking for nominations during the Bi-annual meeting and the award will be presented on July 4th.
  • Volunteers needed – We have a number of activities and events planned for the remainder of 2016. We are seeking volunteers to participate, advertise, and in some cases, donate or sponsor activities. We also welcome the community’s ideas for engagement events and fundraisers. Please see list below for some of the activities we have planned thus far:
  • Community Work Day – Saturday, May 14th 9:00am – 1:00pm

We need volunteers to help clean up and prep the pool and bathhouse for the 2016 season, and tidy up the clubhouse.

  • Fourth of July – Monday, July 4th 8:00am – 1:00pm

We will be seeking a number of individuals to help with the July 4th festivities. There are opportunities to help with the parade, judging, food, games, etc.
We look forward to hearing from all of you and we truly hope that we will have our best turnout yet. Thank you.
